Felipe: “Whoa”

Presenting one of the most exciting and undiscovered talents to emerge on today’s music scene. Felipe is a sensational singer who is being very well received for his new soul/pop crossover sound. With the release of his full-length CD, “Music Is Back”, the growth of his fan base has been outstanding.

Felipe hails from Northern California where he has been performing as a singer since childhood. He grew up in a musical family that helped instill his early influences. His mother died when he was 4 years old, however, she was still able to provide the foundation for his appreciation of early musical hits. His family grew up listening to music from the 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s, and he grew up learning to perform all types of music, and enjoyed watching music legends at a young age. He always had a special appreciation for music of the older generation. Felipe had an uncle who was an established professional in the industry, and began to take a strong interest in him. At age seven, Felipe’s uncle took him under his wing, and molded his stage personae into an exciting entertainer. He soon began performing at weddings, anniversaries, corporate events, and other small venues. He thrilled his audience, and showcased a special gift as an entertainer as well as a singer.

When Felipe turned fourteen, he began to pursue a professional solo role. He started promoting himself at a popular tourist wharf in San Francisco. He would sing all day and earn money as well as obtain future performance opportunities. He continued hustling his talents and entertaining all types of people from the very young, to the very old, taking his talents to whomever would listen. At the age of twenty, he started posting his talents on the internet, and received invitations to perform at large events. That year, he received a call from a group who had a 6 month performance contract with a casino. They asked him to perform with the group, and join the show for a casino for six month run. The audience continually responded with thunderous applause, but the group disbanded and Felipe was left longing for a larger opportunity.

Felipe began seeking the means to pursue a national audience, and subsequently released a full-length CD titled, “Music Is Back.” “Music Is Back” is an R&B / Pop crossover production with showcase tracks for the Urban Adult Contemporary radio market. “Music Is Back” has the potential to be one of the year’s most successful releases in 2011, and launch the recording career one of the nation’s most talented undiscovered performer, Felipe Gutierrez.
