First Down

“A Little Bit of X” is the debut track from First Down, a rap trio out of Oakland California. A gritty, grimy track laced with sexual innuendo and unapologetic theatrics, “A Little Bit of X” depicts the exploits of casual club encounters in explicit detail.

“ X ” is a hard-hitting sonic experience with generous amounts of low-end that promises to get sub-woofers and house speakers moving. The track makes use of Manson-esque distorted electric guitars to deliver a down beat unlike many of the tracks on the market today. The electric guitar effect was created with a custom 6-string Ibanez with EMG pick-ups, a Marshall half-stack, and a Mesa-Boogie combo stack, run through a compressor/limiter and noise gate (re-mix and mastering done out of Leaven Studios, Las Vegas, Nevada).
