SG is bringing back a re-mix version of the track “Fly, Shake or Fly” originally recorded at in Syracuse, New York in 2002. Drawing heavily on clean and distorted electric guitars, “Fly” is a departure from the traditional hip-hop sound. The guitars used include a vintage Rickenbacker 12-string, a Fender Stratocaster, and an Ibanez RGA with custom EMG pickups.
“Fly Shake or Fly” takes place in a New York night club where a tricky lady has found herself caught up in a situation where her moves have started unraveling in front of her. SG, ever the opportunist, sees an opening to get with the girl, and get out, before her troubles descend on the club’s front door. Not looking for chivalry, SG is openly pursuing an exploit as a greasy opportunist. “She look[s] into my eyes and feel like she dyin’… don’t be lookin’ for no long goodbye, or have me change into a nicer guy.”
